Staff and students at OA-Thurrock came together on Thursday, 9 July to take part in Olive Walk 2026, raising an incredible £3,538 for Olive Academies Foundation.
Trust-wide, participants walked approximately 1.4 million steps. That’s almost the entire length of Great Britain or more than 26 marathons back-to-back or the equivalent of climbing Snowden more than 100 times in distance alone!
Participants explored Langdon Hills Country Park before rounding off the day with a picnic and hotdogs. The event was a fantastic opportunity for staff and students to come together while raising money for the foundation.
Olive Walk 2026 was about more than fundraising. It provided an opportunity for staff and students to spend time together outdoors, build relationships and celebrate being part of the wider Olive Academies community.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success – from the staff who organised the event and supported students throughout the day, to everyone who took part in the walk, donated, or supported fundraising activities in the lead-up to the event.
Every pound raised will help the foundation continue to provide enriching opportunities and experiences for children and young people across the trust.
