Our Ofsted reports

“This school has high expectations that pupils rise to.”

Ofsted inspectors last visited our academy on 4 and 5 June 2024 for an ungraded (Section 8) inspection, and confirmed that the academy remains ‘Good’.

The inspection report provided many examples of the positive work that goes on in our academy to support our learners in reaching their full potential. These include:

  • the impact our outdoor learning offer has on pupils’ personal growth and development and the positive correlation with qualifications, reintegration into mainstream settings and successful next steps;
  • our carefully designed curriculum model that enables pupils to secure the knowledge they need to be successful, while offering opportunities to develop new and existing talents and interests which sparks pupils’ ambitions;
  • the important role of our careers programme in supporting pupils achieve their next steps;
  • the strength of our partnerships with parents, local schools and the local authority, which helps the academy provide high-quality support to pupils and their families;
  • and the effectiveness of our governance arrangements, noting the rigorous systems in place to quality assure the work of the academy.
