Olive AP Academy – Thurrock

Our alternative provision academy provides a broad curriculum to a diverse group of young people. We moved into our brand new academy building in Tilbury in July 2017. We cater for young people and children who have experienced difficulty in learning for a variety of reasons. We also offer support to students in mainstream schools who are experiencing difficulties and are at risk of exclusion.

Our principal aim is to encourage pupils to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to believe that they can be successful in their own lives. Olive Academies provides enriching opportunities for young people who have been unable to succeed in their current educational setting and supports their return to mainstream school.

Collette Hunnisett is our headteacher at Olive AP Academy – Thurrock. She leads an experienced team who support our students to reach their full potential. Please read our Headteacher’s Welcome to find out more.

Our academy is closed for half-term from 19th-30th October, we look forward to welcoming back our students on Monday 2nd November. Please check our news page for the most recent information for parents and carers about how we are managing risks around the transmission of coronavirus, and our COVID-19 page for the latest guidance.
