Working together with parents & carers
Our aim at Olive AP Academy – Thurrock is to work closely with parents and carers to ensure that each of our pupils has a smooth and successful transition back into mainstream school or at the end of Year 11 into college and work based placements.
At Olive Academies we recognise the importance of the involvement of parents and carers in supporting their child’s learning and development. We listen and respond to ideas and feedback from parents and carers (informally and formally) and provide regular opportunities for parents and carers to participate in events and activities organised at the academy.
– Parent/carer meetings are offered half-termly to discuss written reports
– We offer regular meetings with parents/carers to agree educational provision and to discuss their child’s progress
– Parents/carers are most welcome at academy events. Details of all planned academy events and the latest letters sent to parents and carers are also featured on our news page.
